Internship Summary
The ICBA team is looking for an enthusiastic intern to provide assistance to its high performing Events & Education departments in day-to-day operations. You will work closely with the Convention & Meetings Department, but also closely with the broader Community Banker University Department, with opportunities for ideation and collaboration. Further, this role interfaces with social media and will help ideate and execute opportunities to better engage with members and target audiences using social media channels.
The 2025 ICBA Summer Intern program will be from June 2 - August 1. This is a paid, full-time opportunity in the summer (37.5 hours per week) based in our Sauk Centre, MN office. Our goal is to have a hybrid program that will be both virtual and in-person. Final determination on the hybrid schedule will be made closer to the program start date.
The program will be a learning experience and help you gain valuable job experience and develop essential skills. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership, work on meaningful projects, participate in learning and development opportunities and join in networking and social events with other team members and fellow interns and participate in a final presentation the final week of the summer internship.
Responsibilities
Below is a sample of some of the projects as an intern you may work on.
- Assist with meeting preparations, including playbook specifications, BEOs, and other logistical documents.
- Help maintain relationships with Preferred Services Providers, Corporate Associate Members, and ICBA subsidiaries by assisting with email outreach and follow-ups.
- Assist in developing sponsorship materials, tracking outreach efforts, and with sales research.
- Help maintain strong relationships with Preferred Services Providers, Corporate Associate Members, and ICBA subsidiaries through outreach and follow-ups
- Assisting with research for online training content, compliance updates, and best practices for community banks.
- Help to review and organize training materials, ensuring accuracy and accessibility within Community Banker University’s Online Training library.
- Supporting the development and management of compliance-related training products by gathering data, compiling resources, and assisting in content formatting.
- Assist with enhancements to the ICBA Compliance Center website, including uploading new materials and ensuring product offerings are up to date.
- Help track expenses, compile financial reports, and ensure the training budget is managed effectively.
- Assist in communication with internal and external partners, gathering feedback, and helping to maintain relationships with community bank members.
- Reviewing online training modules for errors, testing new features, and providing feedback on user experience improvements.
Qualifications
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in a relevant major
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Prefer junior or senior, but will consider other class levels
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Interest in meeting, incentive travel, event and/or tradeshow/exhibit planning
- Understanding of online technology and how it can be used to deliver training and educational solutions.
- Analytical and research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
