Position Summary: The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the ICB facilities. This role ensures that the physical environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained to support the activities and programs of the center. The Facilities Manager will work closely with staff, volunteers, and contractors to oversee daily operations and long-term facility projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and Repairs:
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform minor repairs and coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and renovations.
- Ensure all systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) are functioning properly and address any issues promptly.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Maintain records of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols, including fire safety, emergency exits, and first aid supplies.
- Cleaning and Upkeep:
- Oversee cleaning staff or volunteers to ensure the facility is clean and presentable at all times.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling programs.
- Ensure restrooms, prayer areas, and common areas are well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Event Support:
- Coordinate with event organizers to ensure facility readiness for various programs and activities.
- Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events as needed.
- Assist with logistical support during events to ensure smooth operations.
- Facility Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for facility improvements and efficiency enhancements.
- Develop and manage a schedule for regular maintenance and upgrades.
- Propose and oversee small to medium-scale improvement projects.
- Budget Management:
- Manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions for maintenance and repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
- Source and negotiate with vendors for supplies and services.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical or vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and maintenance procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Information:
- This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week, with some flexibility in scheduling.
