Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as an analytical resource for domestic and global RFx responses by generating pricing estimates, bid structures, and pricing recommendations that balance competitiveness with profitability.
- Conduct margin analysis and scenario analysis across TL, LTL, intermodal, parcel, air, and ocean using established costing models.
- Assist in maintaining off-book pricing, price assurances, and contract pricing to ensure compliance with approved strategy.
- Apply pricing analysis and performance data, including win/loss trends and bid outcomes, to continuously improve the quality and competitiveness of pricing recommendations
- Follow established pricing governance frameworks, workflows, and documentation standards; escalate deviations from approved strategy as identified.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
Required
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in pricing analysis, logistics analytics, data analytics, or supply chain.
- Familiarity with transportation pricing concepts including carrier rates, fuel surcharges, and freight modes (TL, LTL, intermodal, parcel, ocean, air, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, scenario analysis) and exposure to SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Familiarity with TMS platforms, freight rating tools, or supply chain management systems.
- Effective problem-solving and communication skills; ability to present analysis clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Experience in a 3PL or freight brokerage environment
- Familiarity with WorldTrak, Cargowise, 7L Freight, WebCargo and other freight rating tools
- Working understanding of cost-to-serve and margin analysis methodologies.
- Awareness of US Customs, TSA, CTPAT, and international air/ocean/land freight compliance a plus.
- Excels at meeting deadlines and demonstrates strong time management skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills in a logistics environment with attention to detail.
