Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our outpatient clinic team. The BHT provides direct behavioral health services under the supervision of a licensed professional, helping members achieve treatment goals and maintain emotional wellness.
This position works with individuals experiencing a range of behavioral health challenges, including trauma, substance use, anxiety, depression, and serious mental illness (SMI).
Responsibilities

Provide behavioral health interventions and skill-building sessions (individual, family, and group).

Implement treatment, safety, and crisis plans under supervision of a licensed clinician.

Support members with medication education, health promotion, and community integration.

Accurately document services and progress notes in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Participate in crisis prevention, safety planning, and de-escalation.

Collaborate with clinical teams, case managers, and families to ensure coordinated care.

Maintain compliance with AHCCCS, ADHS, and iCare Health Services standards.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or related field; OR

Associate’s degree 2 years of behavioral health experience; OR

High school diploma/GED 4 years of behavioral health experience.

Must meet ADHS Behavioral Health Technician definition (A.A.C. R9-10-101).

Current CPR/First Aid, Article 9, and Crisis Prevention certifications required.

Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card required.

1 year of behavioral health or outpatient experience preferred.
