What are the responsibilities and job description for the Youth ACT Program Assistant position at ICAN Inc?
The Youth ACT Program Assistant is a non-clinical team member who is responsible for providing programmatic and operational support through coordination of the management information system and management of all client records. The Program Assistant will adhere to and promote the philosophy and mission of the company by performing the following duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Participation in daily team meetings and bi-weekly supervision.
- Responsible for the management and oversight of information systems and case records.
- Collaborates in revenue cycle management processes.
- Performs administrative office related activities, on an as needed basis, including reception activities such as triaging calls and coordinating communication between team members and participating families.
- Monitors and provides data on performance measures as needed.
- Manages special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Works closely with Youth Act prescriber, assisting with scheduling and also authorizations with medication management.
- Will work closely with C-SPOA to ensure all required documentation is requested and received.
- Oversees the maintenance of accounting and budget records for all program and recipient expenditures.
- Must successfully complete the required ACT Institute trainings.
- Additional duties may be assigned, on an as needed basis.
Education/Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma/GED required, with at least 5 years of administrative experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in human services or mental health field from four-year College or university and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A valid NYS Driver's License is strongly preferred.

- Working in a fast-paced setting similar to an environment such as a hospital, mental health residential center or facility, or in an agency that supports families with complex, multi-system needs.
- Significant experience working with budgets and management information systems.
- Ability to work with multiple functional departments
- Professional telephone personality; patience and ability to work as a team.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
