Responsibilities and Duties
- Billing review for accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM codes
- Conduct audits and coding reviews to ensure all documentation is accurate and precise
- Collaborate with physicians and other parties to clarify information
- Initiates, manages, and communicates authorizations and benefits checks
- Cost estimation and communication of cost and benefit information
- Re-check benefits and update account information as needed
- Complete time-of-service (TOS) collection report and audit
- Run Statements
- Able to monitor and manage AR (including copays, deductibles, and payments)
- Respond to patient account inquiries
- Complete electronic and manual posting of all payments
- Correct or resolve denials of claims as needed
- Retrieve explanation of benefits (EOB's) when necessary, from Provider sites
Position Qualifications: What you bring to the Team
- Minimum Associates degree preferred
- CMSC preferred
- Highly organized with attention to detail
