Title: Partnerships and Development Associate
Reports to: Partnerships Manager
Location: Mission District of San Francisco
Position Type: Full-time with benefits
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000
Position Summary
The Partnerships & Development Associate will be a vital member of our Partnerships and Development team, working closely with the Director of Partnerships & Development and Partnerships Manager to cultivate, maintain, and expand relationships with our corporate partners and the broader ICA Cristo Rey community.
This role is crucial to advancing our student work-study integration, partner retention, and fundraising goals. You will be responsible for primary account management of a portfolio of partners, ensuring annual renewals, coordinating annual site visits, preparing marketing materials and communications, and supporting fundraising operations.
Primary Responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Serve as a primary relationship manager for a portfolio of current Corporate Work Study (CWS) partners.
- Ensure student roles remain engaging, educational, and valuable for both students and CWS partners.
- Manage the annual renewal process for the portfolio of current partners, driving retention and strategically upselling additional student placements to expand partnerships. Includes scheduling and preparing for current CWS partner renewals meetings and aligns with strategic planning.
- Schedule and complete site visits with all Partners twice a year to maintain strong relationships and complete program compliance requirements.
- Plan and execute events as assigned, such as supervisor training and professional development sessions, to enhance current CWS partner engagement and support.
Compliance and Quality Control
- Working with both Partners and the student-facing CWS Team to ensure students are in high-quality and safe work study positions that align with the mission of ICA Cristo Rey’s Corporate Work Study program and requirements set forth by the Department of Labor.
Strategic Communications & Engagement
- Identifying stakeholder engagement opportunities by helping plan events.
- Work with the Partnerships and Development team and other ICA departments to identify and capitalize on broader current partnership expansion opportunities, like the Business Lunch.
- Develop newsletters, collateral, and social media posts as assigned and to align with ICA Cristo Rey’s annual marketing and communications plan.
- Support the planning of the annual Business Lunch and other events for partners and donor cultivation and engagement.
Philanthropic Operations Management:
- Manage the processing and recording of new gifts in Salesforce.
- Communicate new gifts and donor intentions to the Finance Team.
- Send timely acknowledgement letters to donors.
- Meet monthly with the Finance Team for financial reconciliation.
- Identify philanthropic prospects and create donor profiles.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 2 years of experience in a customer service-focused or student-facing role (including part-time, internships, or leadership positions)
- Commitment to the mission of ICA Cristo Rey Academy
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to execute projects independently and work collaboratively with other departments
- Proficiency in G Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Acrobat (familiarity with DocuSign is a plus)
- Fluency in social media research, including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
- Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail, with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple concurrent projects and deadlines
- Prior database management or digital contract routing experience preferred
- Self-starter with a passion for interacting with people, an open mind, and a dedication to lifelong learning
