We are seeking an experienced Service Technician III to join our team. This senior-level role is ideal for a highly skilled professional with advanced expertise in commercial HVAC service and repair.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform full maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair on a wide range of commercial-grade HVAC equipment, including:
- Unitary systems up to 50-ton package units
- Mini-splits (1-ton and up)
- Boilers, heat exchangers, and control valves
- Chillers (including retrofits)
- Evaporative coolers
- Service and repair equipment at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and complete customer satisfaction.
- Utilize state-of-the-art diagnostic software, tools, mobile technology, and blueprints/engineering specifications to accurately identify and resolve issues.
- Complete detailed service reports, provide all necessary information to dispatch before leaving the job site, and maintain accurate documentation of work performed.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for additional service, maintenance contracts, or system upgrades in collaboration with account managers and sales teams.
- Uphold the highest standards of safety, security, and accountability for company vehicles, tools, equipment, and assets—tracking usage, condition, and maintenance needs.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility for overtime, on-call rotation, weekend work, and occasional overnight travel as business needs require.
- EPA Universal Certification (required).
- 5 years of hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial HVAC systems (experience with large tonnage units, chillers, boilers, and controls strongly preferred).
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and modern diagnostic/technology platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
