What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Development Associate position at iBuyFlowers.com?
iBuyFlowers.com is a fast-growing online marketplace transforming how flowers are sourced and purchased in the United States. Founded in 2016 by Wilfred de Wit, who has deep roots in the Dutch floral industry, the company connects customers directly with over 100 global farms. This direct-from-farm model removes the middleman, providing fresher flowers at competitive prices and a reliable 24/7 online ordering experience. As a scale-up, iBuyFlowers.com offers an entrepreneurial environment where team members can contribute to innovation and growth in the floral sector.
iBuyFlowers acquires hundreds of new guest accounts every month, buyers who have signed up but haven't yet placed their first order. The Business Development Associate owns that inbound pipeline: qualifying guest accounts, making first contact, and handing warm leads off to account management to land order number one. They are the first touchpoint that customers receive from iBuyFlowers and should truly represent the brand.
This is a high‑volume outbound calling role built for someone who wants to sharpen their sales fundamentals through repetition. You’ll spend the majority of your day dialing leads, qualifying interest, and passing opportunities to the sales team. It’s fast‑paced, metrics‑driven, and ideal for someone early in their career who wants to build discipline, resilience, and pipeline management skills. Strong performers can expect to grow with the company.
