Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support across ASOS SLEP projects, including ACU/DCP upgrades and multiple sensor sustainment projects.
- Support the government in developing engineering requirements, modifications, and testable solutions for ASOS modernization.
- Create and maintain Modification and Maintenance Notes to support system baseline changes.
- Participate in drafting and updating Site Technical Manual chapters for various ASOS components.
- Support the engineering of solutions for sensor performance issues (e.g., insect ingress in TRH aspirated shields, redundant sensor solutions).
- Direct CM efforts for drawing changes and technical document reviews.
- Develop and execute Requests for Change (RCs) to the ASOS baseline.
- Contribute to the preparation of technical data packages for vendor-supplied equipment.
- Provide support during field deployments and troubleshooting as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering (Master's preferred).
- Minimum 10 years of engineering experience supporting federal, aviation, or sensor-based programs.
- Hands-on experience with sensor integration, electronics, or embedded systems strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with ASOS, aviation weather systems, or meteorological instrumentation a plus.
- Experience working with CM and engineering documentation processes
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to support practical field deployments.
