Job Description
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 15 years strong experience in Data and Insurance .
- 10 years of experience in data modeling and data design (adjust as needed).
- Strong P&C insurance domain knowledge, especially in:
- Claims (FNOL, reserves, payments, recoveries/subrogation)
- Policy (quotes, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, coverages)
- Broker/Producer (hierarchies, commissions, appointments)
- Insured / Party (customer, risk/locations, roles, relationships)
- Hands-on expertise creating ER models and dimensional models for analytics.
- Strong command of modeling concepts: normalization, referential integrity, slowly changing dimensions, surrogate keys, etc.
- Experience with Erwin Modeling tool
- Proficiency with SQL and ability to validate data through analysis and profiling.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with cross-functional and distributed/offshore teams.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience working with cloud data platforms: AWS / Databricks
- Familiarity with data governance practices: business glossary, cataloging, stewardship, metadata management.
- Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) for Party/Customer/Producer data.
- Understanding of regulatory/insurance reporting and auditability requirements.
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban) and tools (Jira/DevOps).
