Unit Process Engineer (Wets Process), IBM Corporation, Albany, NY :
Required Technical And Professional Expertise
Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, Physics or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Design of Experiment (DoE), Statistical Process Charts (SPC), PDCA/8D methodologies, Wafer Acceptance Test (WAT).
Unit Process Engineer (Wets Process), IBM Corporation, Albany, NY :
- Own semiconductor equipment and maintain the health of the equipment by collaborating with equipment vendors, fab operations, process, and management team to maintain the health of the semiconductor equipment.
- Collect wafer history using SiView; leverage web-based software to analyze the contamination, particles, and elemental data available from the wafers.
- Work with an internal failure analysis team to identify the defects and external metrology vendor.
- Lead equipment field service team and troubleshoot any equipment issues and report the equipment status to support semiconductor process development.
- Liaise with equipment vendors and review/discuss continuous improvement plans.
- Coordinate with process integration team to understand integration scheme and wet cleaning process needs.
- Assess the process window, formulate design of experiments (DOE’s) and make continuous improvement to unstable processes.
- Work with equipment vendors, material vendors, and internally to drive the development of new materials and create data packages for implementation of the developed process.
- Train workstation operators, new technicians, and new engineers to meet their technical level requirements needed to perform and deliver quarterly and yearly milestones.
- Work with equipment vendors on specification and installation for new tools or upgrades.
- Support and drive the process needs for a joint development program and joint development alliance.
- Publish wet clean process development work and research.

Salary : $150,525 - $160,000
