Position Overview
The Events & Marketing Intern is a key supporting member of the Events and Marketing department, contributing to the planning, promotion, and execution of a robust calendar of signature events and strategic initiatives. This hands-on, paid internship is designed for a student or recent graduate eager to build real-world experience at the intersection of event logistics, brand management, and marketing strategy. Working closely with the Director of Events and Community Engagement, the intern will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of professional event production and the integrated marketing campaigns that drive their success.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Event Planning & Logistics
· Assist in the planning and day-of execution of corporate events, including coordination of venues, vendors, registration, signage, and technical runs-of-show.
· Assist with the preparation and distribution of pre- and post-event communications to attendees, sponsors, and community partners.
· Maintain detailed event deadline calendars to ensure the timely delivery of contracts, promotional assets, and speaker materials.
· Oversee the registration process at live events; manage attendee check-in, track real-time counts, and facilitate guest experience.
· Coordinate with sponsors and clients to collect deliverables and ensure all contractual marketing assets are executed accurately and on schedule.
Marketing Strategy & Operations
· Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing plans that support event attendance and broader organizational growth.
· Schedule and coordinate digital marketing, e-newsletters, and email blasts to promote events across all owned channels.
· Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and registration metrics to help the team evaluate ROI and identify growth opportunities.
· Support the creation and maintenance of marketing materials, including event registration pages, sponsorship sales decks, and print/digital collateral.
· Ensure all marketing assets and event signage align with brand standards and organizational messaging.
· Participate in team brainstorming sessions, offering fresh perspectives on storytelling, audience engagement, and promotional tactics.
General & Administrative Support
· Support the upkeep of master marketing calendars, project trackers, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
· Work alongside editorial, production, design, and sales teams to ensure marketing initiatives are cohesive across the organization.
· Assist in creating recaps and "hot-wash" reports for sponsors and internal leadership following major initiatives or events.
Qualifications
· Working towards a bachelor’s degree at an accredited college or university or a recent graduate at an accredited college or university
· Project Management experience with proven success in meeting deadlines, organizing information, and managing simultaneous projects.
· Previous internship experience a plus.
· Skilled with attention to detail and creativity.
· Team-work oriented philosophy.
· Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
· Flexibility to work event hours as needed.
Required Skills
· Excellent verbal/written communication, editing, and interpersonal skills; strong customer service abilities.
· Ability to write press releases, website content, reports, correspondence, presentations, and other business-related communications.
· Ability to be adaptable, flexible, and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining highly organized in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to think critically/logically to troubleshoot and make recommendations for problems as identified.
· Proficient computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Social Media platforms, and e-mail systems.
· Ability to take initiative and work independently.

· Spring Internship: April/May– Fall/Winter 2026
