What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at IBI?
Illinois Back Institute is a multidisciplinary practice that focuses on treating chronic back and neck pain as well as other joint and muscle pains. Our diverse team works with each patient to develop an individualized treatment plan.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing a functional physical therapy evaluation
- Responsible for initial evaluation and monthly patient assessments
- Identify the therapeutic intervention necessary (patient specific)
- Help to prepare and clean the therapy floor where patients will be performing the exercises, which includes stocking necessary supplies
- Accurately document patient care services
- Show exercises to the patient and make sure they are being done properly and progressed properly
- Re-evaluate the exercises daily or weekly depending on the patient’s specific needs
Skills and Specifications
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong personal qualities such as positive attitude, patience, warmth and caring
- Ability to work with all types of people
- Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented with great organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize important tasks is a necessity
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of patient care
Pay: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
