Teller/Member Services Representative
We are seeking a well-organized person with strong cash handling, customer service, math, and computer skills to fill the position of Teller/Member Service Representative.
Telephone:
- Will handle calls concerning member inquiries, transactions, and general Credit Union information.
Teller/Member Service:
- Will process member transactions at the teller counter - deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, share certificates, IRAs, etc.
- Selling money orders, travel cards, and gift cards
- Processing night deposits
- Will be responsible for balancing own cash drawer at the end of each day
- Preparing the daily bank deposit
- Opening and closing accounts
- Perform file maintenance-address, phone number, name changes, etc.
- Assist members with balancing their accounts and answering questions regarding their transactions
- Statement mailings
Misc. Duties:
- Assist in the processing of debit cards, ACHs, and share drafts (checking accounts)
- Minimal bookkeeping
- Assist in the posting of the electricians’ vacation deposits
- General clerical/office work
- Correspondence
- Filing
- Shredding
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager
NECESSARY SKILLS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with computers (Microsoft Word/Excel a plus)
- Familiarity with using office equipment (copiers, printers, postage meters, etc.)
- Cash handling
- Math (ability to use a calculator, understanding of percentages, etc.)
- Communication skills – must be professional & courteous to credit union members and co-workers
- Well organized
Must be bondable
