Dietitian Part Time

IMC is looking to hire a Part Time - Registered Dietitian. The Dietitian is responsible for overall patient nutritional care and outpatient nutrition counseling under the Food Service Director and Assistant Manager. Must be self guided and motivated.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelor's degree in course work approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
• Proof of passing the national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
• Participates in continuing educational requirements to maintain registration.
• Louisiana Licensed dietitian status.

PRINCIPLE TASKS, DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assesses patients nutritional status
• Provides appropriate patient education for inpatients
• Update diet manual and education materials
• Performance improvement input
• Cardiac / DM education classes participation
• Outpatient Nutrition Education
• Parenteral / enteral nutrition
• Helps maintain high standards of safety and sanitation through supervisors and observation
• Participates in patient care plan meetings, support groups as requested or deemed necessary, and Dietary Department management meetings
• Directs Diet Techs in daily duties and offers in-service education
  
• Accepts assigned duties (non-routine) in a cooperative manner
