IMC is currently hiring a Plant Operations Manager , who is to provide leadership to the Plant
Operations Department at IMC by actively directing and supporting the Plant
Operations staff at each hospital campus and offsite location with all work
related to the physical plant, ancillary systems, engineering, grounds,
security, and safety. This role manages Environment of Care (EOC) and completes preventive
maintenance, surveys and inspections to ensure compliance with all regulatory
agencies and has extensive knowledge with The Joint Commission (TJC), CMS, and other regulatory
agencies' requirements. The Plant Operations Manager provides direct support
to the Plant Operations staff at the facility to ensure successful implementation
and oversight of the hospital's plant operations, safety, and security. This role also
provides guidance and project management on construction/remodeling projects
upon direction from organizational leadership. The Manager presents a positive
professional image of the hospital to all IMC staff, patients, visitors,
physicians, and the public.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma required Bachelors Degree preferred
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 5 years experience in Plant Operations preferred Minimum of 3 years experience in leadership preferred Knowledge of Hospital plant operations, to include TJC and CMS
standards. Experience in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, construction, Life Safety
Code, security and current applicable standards. Capable and professional
electronic, written and verbal communication skills. Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) designation a plus
JOB DESCRIPTION
Hire, train, evaluate,
and manage, all Plant and Security Staff. Prepare and
Manage Annual Plant Operations budget Implement and
maintain preventative maintenance programs Project and
Construction management and oversight. Maintain
compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and guidelines. Coordinate
license and insurance monitoring for all established Contractors and
Vendors Conduct
regular inspections of all Life Safety Systems including fire
extinguishers, sprinkler, and alarm systems. Establish and
obtain bids for all capital projects. Ensure that
the exterior of both Campuses property is maintained including landscaping,
lawn, lighting, parking, drainage. Prepare and
follow approved department budget. Management and
oversight of Biomedical Support Services as a plant service line. Inventory
control for Plant including all general supplies, chemicals, parts, and
equipment. Schedule and
conduct training sessions and department meetings. Functions as
Safety officer and Develops and maintains organization wide safety,
emergency and disaster plans.
