IMC is currently hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant , in our Med Surg unit. The CNA is responsible for effectively interacting with the patient, significant others and other health team members, while maintaining standards of professional nursing. They will also use the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric population.
EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE : High School graduate preferred. 1 year previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant is preferred. Basic knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles.
SCHEDULES: Fulltime RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates respect for patients and families. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care. Identifies patient and family education needs and in collaboration with other disciplines initiates education needs according to the age of the patients. Functions as a positive role model for peers and promotes a professional image of Iberia Medical Center. Consistently lives by the Iberia Medical Center Standards of Performance. Adheres to the Patient Safety Goals.
