Marine Technician

We work on the Vessels 90% of the time while in the slip. Maintenance and repair on large Yachts, typically 40-70 feet long. We do everything from the waterline up, including Electrical AC/DC Power, Plumbing Hoses, Toilets, Diesel and Gas Engines and assorted parts to make the motors working, Impellers, Sea Strainers, Exhaust Systems, Hydraulics Systems, Thrusters, Davits, Heating systems, Fluid changes on Motors, Generators and tender motors. You must have a working knowledge of hand tools. We are different because our Technicians must be able to work on all systems on the Vessel not just specialize in one area of a Vessel. We cannot have any Cigarette or Marijuana smokers or heavy drinkers because of liability reasons. If you have Mechanical or Marine knowledge and want to be rewarded for being an Honest Hard worker, always thinking ahead and seeing the big picture then we maybe able to work with you. If you have the ability for learning and the ability to be adaptivity that is a quality that will help you in this position. This is a career not just a paycheck. If you are a hot head and are a reactive person there is no place here for you. You will be challenged because of tight work spaces, parts not easily accessible. If you have ever worked on a vessel than you know what I am talking about patience is required along with a can do attitude a sense of urgency to get the job done right along with a sense of humor. We have many open work orders and are not lacking for jobs to do and everyday more are added. We want employees who think like an owner. Wages are based on performance and abilities to preform work in a timely fashion and communicate well. Raises are given based on performance. Paid time off based on major holidays.

Duties are expected perform:

• Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in confined spaces
• Have the ability to work alone or as a team
• Maintain neat and clean work space and tools along with the shop.
• Continually describe progress of work in their timecards along with pictures
• Have a good work ethic punctual and be able to communicate issues if stuck on a project.
• Have strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
