Supervisor, Underwriting Support (Moving & Storage)

The ideal candidate will have experience leading, coaching, and developing production teams of five or more. Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

Role

This role will provide day-to-day oversite for Account Managers within the Moving & Storage Underwriting Support unit. The position will be in one of our following offices:

• Alpharetta, GA
• Rolling Meadows, IL
• Naperville, IL
  
  

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership to assigned staff by leading organizational change, developing and empowering staff, cultivating relationships, putting staff in a position to succeed and meet their personal career goals while also achieving organizational goals.
• Builds effective teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
• Drives engagement and creates a climate where staff are motivated to do their best.
• Oversees training and quality product output of account management staff.
• Coordinates work to meet production and service expectations.
• Conducts performance evaluations, coaching conversations, team meetings and individual one on ones with staff.
• Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

Must Have:

• Bachelors’ degree and 3 years of leadership experience; or equivalent.
• Equivalent is defined as 7 years of relevant insurance experience.
• Knowledge of Underwriting Support processes and procedures.
• Experience with rating and policy issuance platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work throughout the organization at different levels.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
