Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Procurement role located in Fort Wayne, IN. The individual will be responsible for quoting requirements, sourcing requests, managing/creating purchase orders, evaluating suppliers, and conducting order negotiations. Day-to-day tasks include supporting procurement operations, analyzing supplier data, ensuring timely acquisition of materials, and maintaining accurate procurement documentation.
Resonsibilities
- Review and analyze customer requirements to prepare accurate quotes.
- Source materials and components from approved suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Create/develop a supplier list by product offering
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers to optimize cost and performance.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams for material planning.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records in ERP systems.
- Resolve order discrepancies, delays, and quality issues promptly.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (prefered).
- 1 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain operations (Aerospace/Defense experience preferred).
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Comfortable with technology and quick to learn new software tools.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings.
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
- Highly responsible and dependable, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
