Schedule Details: 7 AM - 5 PM (No nights, weekends, or holidays)

Job Description
We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Ohio-licensed psychiatrist to provide on-site services on a full-time basis to the men at this reception prison. The Psychiatrist will deliver comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services within a state-operated correctional center, collaborating closely with interdisciplinary medical and mental health teams to support patient care and institutional safety.
This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while addressing acute and chronic mental health conditions in a structured clinical environment.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary correctional healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with 12-16 patients per 8-hour shift.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations, assessments, and diagnostic reviews for incarcerated individuals
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, including medication management
- Provide crisis intervention and emergency psychiatric care as needed
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, psychology, and correctional staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with state and facility requirements
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and peer reviews
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies based on clinical outcomes
- Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, accreditation standards, and correctional healthcare policies
