NOW HIRING — WEEKEND DOOR & SECURITY STAFF
Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill is a brand new restaurant and bar in historic Deadwood, South Dakota, located right beside The Landmark Hotel & Casino. We're building our founding team and looking for a dependable, level-headed Door / Security team member to help keep our nights safe, orderly, and fun. We will need one candidate for each concept, including The Landmark Hotel & Casino next door.
This is a ground-floor opportunity. The team we hire now will help set the standard and grow with the restaurant.
SCHEDULE & WHAT TO EXPECT
- Consistent Fridays and Saturdays, plus additional one-off live music events as needed.
- Shifts typically start around 9:00–10:00 PM when we switch to 21 only, running until 2:30–3:00 AM.
- You'll help clear the building at close and assist with minimal closing duties to help the night wrap up quickly and smoothly.
- Starting Friday, September 25th, 2026, working every Friday and Saturday after.
- Possibility for additional hours by cross training support positions for restaurant: Currently need Expo, Food Runner, Busser for weekends
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Check all IDs at the door and ensure no underage patrons get inside.
- Maintain order and keep the peace throughout the night.
- Turn away intoxicated or reckless individuals before they enter.
- Help identify patrons who need to be cut off, and safely escort out anyone who has been cut off.
- Assist with removing rowdy patrons calmly and safely.
- Handle all basic responsibilities of a restaurant/bar nighttime door position.
- Assist with getting everyone out of the building at close and help with minimal closing duties.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable team members who show up every scheduled shift.
- Calm, level-headed individuals who can de-escalate tense situations.
- Strong judgment for spotting fake IDs, underage guests, and patrons who've had too much.
- Team-first attitude with clear communication skills.
- Comfortable being on your feet and alert through late-night hours.

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Prior security, bouncer, or door experience preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and remain alert throughout the shift.
- Able to safely assist with removing or escorting out patrons when needed.
- Available to work late nights, weekends, and occasional event dates.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
