Ian Munsick Cowboy Bar & Western Grill is now open in historic Deadwood, and our kitchen is moving. We're looking for a true Western cook — someone who knows a flat-top, a grill, and a fryer, takes pride in a plate of real ranch-style food, and can hold a station when the rail is full and the tickets keep coming.
If you've cooked steaks, chicken fried anything, fry bread, chili, and big Western breakfasts — and you like the pace of a busy line — we want to talk to you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Run your station on a high-volume line — fry, flat-top, or pantry — and keep tickets moving on our Toast KDS system
- Cook Western comfort food to spec: tri tip, chopped chicken, tenders, fry bread, chili, mac n cheese, chicken & waffles, and more
- Work weekend breakfast service alongside lunch and dinner
- Prep, stock, and set your station so you're ready before the rush
- Keep plates consistent and timed with Expo so every ticket goes out right
- Work directly with the Executive Chef and kitchen leadership
- Complete opening and closing procedures, keep your station clean, and help with dish when needed
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Line cooks with real high-volume experience — you've been in the weeds and know how to get out
- Comfortable on fryer, and flat-top; able to jump between stations
- A cook who loves Western, BBQ, and ranch-style cooking
- Fast, clean, and consistent — you follow recipes and specs every time
- Dependable: you show up, you're on time, and your team can count on you
- Calm under pressure with a team-first attitude
WHAT WE OFFER

REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Line cook experience required; high-volume experience strongly preferred
- South Dakota does not require a statewide food handler card; our kitchen operates under a Certified Food Protection Manager as required by South Dakota law
- Must be able to stand for long periods, work in a hot kitchen, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Available Wednesday–Sunday, including early mornings for weekend breakfast, evenings, and holidays
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
