Engine Parts Cleaner

Position Summary

The Engine Parts Cleaner plays a critical role in the engine disassembly and repair process, responsible for cleaning and preparing engine parts for inspection, repair, or reassembly. This position ensures all parts are cleaned to meet aviation industry standards, OEM specifications, and regulatory guidelines.

The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and is comfortable working in a shop environment with cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Clean engine components using approved chemical solutions, ultrasonic tanks, high-pressure washers, and manual tools
• Identify and separate parts by engine module, part number, and material type
• Remove dirt, grease, oil, carbon deposits, and other contaminants in accordance with OEM and IAG procedures
• Follow proper handling and storage procedures for delicate or high-value components
• Inspect parts for damage, corrosion, or wear and report findings to supervisors or inspectors
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment, including tanks, tools, and safety devices
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cleaning area
• Adhere to all safety procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and hazardous material handling protocols
• Assist other shop departments as needed during busy periods

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1–2 years of experience in a cleaning or maintenance role in an aviation, automotive, or industrial environment preferred
• Basic understanding of engine components and mechanical parts is a plus
• Ability to follow technical instructions, safety procedures, and cleaning specifications
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and wearing required PPE

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in aviation MRO or FAA Part 145 repair stations
• Knowledge of cleaning specifications from OEMs such as GE, CFM, or Pratt & Whitney
• Forklift certification or experience handling heavy equipment a plus

This is NOT a remote position – This is a 100% in-person position.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.89 - $22.00 per hour
