Automotive Dealership Controller

Overview
We are looking for an experienced Automotive Dealership Controller to lead all financial operations at our dealership. This role is essential for accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and providing strategic financial guidance to management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting functions (AP, AR, payroll, cash management)
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements
- Ensure accurate posting of deals, incentives, reserves, and floorplan transactions
- Oversee audits, compliance, and internal controls
- Partner with GM and ownership on financial planning and forecasting
- Supervise and develop the accounting team
- Monitor expenses, profitability, and departmental performance
Qualifications
- 3 years as a Controller or Assistant Controller in an automotive dealership
- Solid knowledge of dealership accounting practices
- Experience with CDK, Dealertrack, or similar dealership management systems
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication abilities
- CPA or accounting degree preferred (not required with equivalent experience)
