Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as AutoCad and Solidworks to support project design and construction activities.
- Create comprehensive schematics, system layouts, and mechanical designs that adhere to project requirements and industry standards like ASME codes & standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to interpret design concepts and translate them into precise technical drawings.
- Utilize advanced CAD tools to perform assembly modeling, system design validation, and FEA (Finite Element Analysis) for structural integrity assessments.
- Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) principles to ensure manufacturing precision and quality control.
- Incorporate construction details into drawings for fabrication and installation processes while maintaining compliance with relevant codes.
- Prepare technical documentation including specifications, assembly instructions, and technical writing to support project deliverables.
- Support drafting of schematics for electrical or mechanical systems; assist in 2D animation for visual presentations when needed.
- Maintain organized records of all CAD files, revisions, and project documentation in accordance with company procedures.
Experience
- Proven experience in CAD drafting and mechanical design within engineering or construction environments.
- Proficiency with a wide range of CAD software including AutoCAD,SolidWorks, and familiarity with FEA tools.
- Strong understanding of machine design principles and system design processes.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME codes & standards is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical schematics and create detailed assembly drawings.
- Experience working on construction projects or manufacturing systems is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing skills for preparing clear documentation and reports.
