Job Summary
The Tennis Instructor is responsible for running the 6 week i9 Sports Tennis program. This person should have a strong knowledge of tennis concepts, skills, and drills for beginning and intermediate tennis players and be comfortable leading a group of kids and parent volunteers to execute the tennis program.
Program Overview
The i9 Sports Tennis program is a 6 week, one hour instructional program for kids ages 5-12. Most kids will be beginner and intermediate players and will be divided into red ball, orange ball, and green ball groups. We anticipate kids in the Fall Program which will happen from 1-2pm at Novato High School on Saturdays 9/20 - 11/1.
Responsibilities
- Lead 1 hour instructional sessions focusing on fundamentals, skill development, and fun
- Work with i9 Staff to deliver a great experience for kids and parents
- Teach & demonstrate core concepts including Sportsmanship values
- Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Sport-specific coaching experience & knowledge
- Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently
- Ability to work a varied work schedule including weekends and some evenings (for the full duration of the season, ~7 weeks)
