Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Sports Volleyball Coordinator for Fall 2026 to lead our youth volleyball programs with enthusiasm and expertise. The coordinator will oversee all aspects of the volleyball program, including coaching, training, and ensuring a safe, engaging experience for participants. Duties
- Plan, organize, and execute volleyball training sessions, drills, and team practices tailored to various skill levels.
- Lead competitive games and tournaments, promoting sportsmanship and team spirit among participants.
- Provide clear instruction on volleyball techniques, rules, and strategies to enhance player development.
- Ensure all activities adhere to safety protocols, including first aid procedures and AED operation when necessary.
- Manage team behavior and foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, respect, and personal growth.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding player progress, upcoming events, and program updates.
- Collaborate with other sports coordinators to integrate cross-training activities such as soccer or basketball when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, particularly volleyball; prior experience in soccer coaching or basketball is a plus.
- Strong background in working with children or youth in athletic or educational settings.
- Knowledge of sports-specific training instruction, team leadership, and behavior management techniques.
- Certifications in first aid and CPR; AED operation certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to teach physical education concepts effectively to diverse age groups.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team coordination.
- Additional experience in martial arts such as karate or judo is advantageous for developing discipline-focused training methods.
- Previous involvement in health club or gym environments is beneficial for understanding fitness fundamentals.
