The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to high-quality patient care and possess a strong understanding of imaging best practices and patient communication.Essential FunctionsOperate mammography equipment to perform diagnostic and screening procedures in accordance with established protocols.Evaluate image quality for technical accuracy, including factors such as contrast, density, and positioning.Educate patients on procedures and the importance of regular mammographic screening for breast health.Maintain accurate records, complete necessary documentation, and ensure equipment is cleaned, calibrated, and properly maintained.Apply standard imaging practices and procedures, relying on professional judgment to meet imaging goals.Perform a range of imaging-related tasks with general supervision.Complete other duties as assigned.QualificationsCurrent registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and Mammography.Valid Radiologic Technologist license in the state of Nevada (or eligibility to obtain).Current hands-on CPR certification.Prior experience in a clinical mammography setting preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.Prolonged periods of sitting, with frequent standing and walking required.Additional InformationThis job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected.
