Anatomic Pathology Operations ManagerFull-Time | Day ShiftSchedule: Mon–Fri, 8:00am–4:00pm (rotating weekends/holidays)Position SummaryResponsible for the overall coordination and management of histology, cytology, and MOHS laboratories to ensure high-quality testing, regulatory compliance, and efficient operations. Oversees laboratory leadership staff and supports departmental goals, quality initiatives, and staff development.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of anatomic pathology laboratoriesEnsure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and hospital standardsSupervise and support laboratory leadership and technical staffOversee quality control programs, turnaround times, and reportingManage staffing, payroll, hiring, evaluations, and competency requirementsDevelop departmental goals, budgets, and capital equipment plansMaintain effective communication with staff, leadership, vendors, and interdisciplinary teamsPromote a safe, professional, and customer-focused work environmentSupport laboratory systems, instrumentation, and software utilizationParticipate in committees, performance improvement, and educational activitiesEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Clinical Technology or related scienceMinimum 6 years of relevant hospital laboratory experienceCurrent NYS license (Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnologist, or Pathologists’ Assistant)ASCP certification preferredCore CompetenciesOrganization and attention to detailFlexibility and adaptabilityStress toleranceStrong leadership and communication skillsPhysical & Work RequirementsExposure to laboratory chemicalsFrequent movement throughout the department and hospitalExtended periods of standing or sittingRegular use of computers and laboratory equipmentAbility to respond quickly to operational needs
