Project Manager

i3 Product Development
Prairie, WI Full Time
POSTED ON 10/24/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 12/24/2026

At i3, we bring designers and engineers together to turn complex ideas into products people use. A good project manager gives that work direction and purpose: clarifying what we’re trying to accomplish, asking questions that move us forward, and bringing people together when the path gets complicated. You’ll help the team see how their contributions connect, build shared ownership of the goal, and sustain the momentum to achieve it.

i3 supports new product development across Helios’ Electronics Segment and the diverse customers it serves, including established OEM brands in outdoor recreation, off-road, health and wellness, and other markets. You’ll find variety in the products, technologies, and problems we work on, along with the opportunity to build relationships and deepen your understanding of products over time.

We’re looking for someone who wants to understand the work, build trust with the people doing it, and turn ideas and open questions into a plan people can act on. Some projects will start with a clear scope; others will need more discovery. You’ll work with business partners and technical leads to clarify requirements, work through dependencies, and bring the right people together when a decision is holding up progress.

The Role

  • Understand & shape what we’re building, who it’s for, and what a successful outcome looks like.
  • Work with stakeholders and technical leads to turn ideas and questions into clear requirements, scope, and a workable plan.
  • Bring together people across software, firmware, electrical, mechanical, and design, helping everyone understand how their work fits together.
  • Using a phase gate process, own the project plan, schedule, and budget, working with functional managers to align the people and capacity needed to deliver.
  • Stay close enough to the work to notice missing decisions, competing assumptions, or dependencies that could cause problems later.
  • Make changes and tradeoffs visible. When a priority shifts or a technical challenge emerges, help people understand the options and agree on what happens next.
  • Keep partners across Helios informed, raise concerns early, and follow through on decisions and commitments.
  • Lead more than one project while keeping priorities clear and giving each team the attention it needs.

You
don’t need to be a technical expert in every discipline. You do need to be curious enough to ask good questions, comfortable working through the answers with engineers, and willing to speak up when something doesn’t add up.

Who
We’re Looking For

We’re open to diverse backgrounds. Yours might be in project management, technical program management, business analysis, engineering, or product management. We’re interested in evidence that you:

  • Have led technical development work and helped a team deliver when there were still questions to work through.
  • Can manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk while keeping the purpose of the project in view.
  • Build trust with engineers and business partners, listen carefully, and ask questions that help people get to a shared understanding.
  • Can challenge an assumption respectfully, navigate competing priorities, and help a group reach a decision.
  • Bring structure and follow-through, including when you’re moving between several projects.
  • Take responsibility when plans change and help the team decide how to recover.
  • Enjoy learning how different products work and how people use them.

Education
& Experience

5 years of relevant experience is preferred, including leading multidisciplinary technical projects. A bachelor’s degree in engineering, technology, design, business, or related field is also preferred. We care about the relevance of your experience and welcome equivalent practical experience.

Familiarity with electromechanical systems and connected products is a plus, as are experience mentoring others and PMP certification.
We’ll also want to hear how you’ve put your project management skills to work: clarifying requirements, managing changes, communicating with stakeholders, and helping teams deliver.
