What You’ll Do

As a senior consultant or project lead at i3, you will support and lead initiatives that help clients improve how they operate. Activities may include:

• Evaluating processes, identifying bottlenecks, and designing improved workflows.
• Conducting data analysis to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Supporting development of management operating systems and organizational processes.
• Executing on-site assessments and working alongside frontline employees (“boots on the ground”).
• Facilitating workshops, mapping processes, and documenting current and future states.
• Developing solutions across operations, supply chain, maintenance, reliability, and strategy.
• Supporting implementation and change management efforts.
• Presenting findings and recommendations to client leadership.

You’ll work across industries such as manufacturing, mining, oil & gas, utilities, and transportation, but we don’t expect you to have experience in all of them. You’ll learn what you need as you go.

Skills That Help You Succeed

We do not expect applicants to possess all skills on day one. We hire people with potential, curiosity, and work ethic. These skills are valued and will grow with you at i3:

• Process mapping, workflow analysis, and operational diagnostics
• Basic to advanced data analysis (Excel required; Power BI a plus)
• Ability to structure work, prioritize independently, and think several steps ahead
• Clear communication with frontline personnel through executive leaders
• Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, reliability, asset management, or continuous improvement (a plus, not required)
• Comfort managing multiple workstreams and adjusting quickly to client needs
• Ability to translate observations into actionable recommendations
• Strong written and presentation skills

Experience

We welcome a range of backgrounds, whether operations, engineering, business, or technical fields. Experience in any of the following is useful but not mandatory:

• Manufacturing

• Transportation & Logistics

• Maintenance & Reliability
• Operations/Production
• Project Management
• Supply Chain

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to travel across North America (often weekly but with variation).
• Ability to work effectively from client sites, home offices, and remote environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Integrity, professionalism, and commitment to delivering measurable results.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
