OSP Construction Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced OSP Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with expertise in various technical skills related to telecommunications and networking.

Duties

• Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closing.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
• Oversee fiber splicing and low voltage installations as part of telecommunications infrastructure.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and quality of work.
• Manage project schedules and budgets effectively while addressing any issues that arise.
• Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals.

Skills

• Proficiency in fiber splicing techniques
• Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to telecommunication systems.
• Strong knowledge of OSP Engineering, Construction Standards, and Practices

Strong knowledge of OSP Unit Descriptions and SSP contracts.

• Strong knowledge of Inspections
• Ability to climb and work at heights safely when required for project tasks.
• Familiarity with Ethernet technologies and their application in construction projects.
• Experience in low voltage electrical systems installation and troubleshooting.
• Competence in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project objectives.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

• OSP Construction: 5 years (Required)
• OSP Inspection: 4 years (Required)
