Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced OSP Construction Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management, with expertise in various technical skills related to telecommunications and networking. This role requires effective leadership, communication, and organizational abilities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Duties
- Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and closing.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Oversee fiber splicing and low voltage installations as part of telecommunications infrastructure.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to monitor progress and quality of work.
- Manage project schedules and budgets effectively while addressing any issues that arise.
- Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Utilize heavy equipment operation as necessary for site preparation and material handling.
Skills
- Proficiency in fiber splicing techniques
- Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to telecommunication systems.
- Strong knowledge of OSP Engineering, Construction Standards, and Practices
Strong knowledge of OSP Unit Descriptions and SSP contracts.
- Strong knowledge of Inspections
- Ability to climb and work at heights safely when required for project tasks.
- Familiarity with Ethernet technologies and their application in construction projects.
- Experience in low voltage electrical systems installation and troubleshooting.
- Competence in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently on job sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results under pressure.
- Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate teams towards achieving project objectives.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $45.00 - $47.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
