Gas Station Attendant/Cashier

AM shift 6am-2pm

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated Gas Station Attendant/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing cash transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized station environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process sales, handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately
• Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to promote convenience store items and services
• Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fueling areas, store shelves, and checkout counters
• Stock shelves, merchandise products attractively, and ensure inventory levels are adequate
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining phone etiquette
• Manage product demos, assist with merchandising displays, and support promotional activities
• Perform basic math calculations for transactions and reconcile cash drawers at shift end
• Assist with grocery store operations as needed, including stocking and organizing products
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering within a grocery or convenience store environment preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
• Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities
• Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
• Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer engagement
• Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product placement strategies
• Basic math skills necessary for balancing cash registers and processing payments
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
