Job Title : Downstream Process Engineer
Initial 12 Month Contract (extension is performance dependant)
W2 competitive hourly rate
Fully on site, Holly Springs, North Carolina
I’m supporting a major biopharmaceutical manufacturing site in Holly Springs, NC in the search for a Downstream Process Engineer to join a large-scale biologics manufacturing project.
Responsibilities:
• Translate downstream process requirements into equipment functionality and automation solutions.
• Develop and refine sequences of operation for downstream manufacturing systems.
• Support functional design and implementation within a GMP regulated environment.
• Work closely with engineering and automation teams to ensure robust process execution.
• Contribute to the integration of process, equipment, and Emerson DeltaV control strategies.
• Support optimisation and execution of established downstream processes in a manufacturing setting.
Experience required:
• Strong downstream bioprocessing experience (chromatography, UF/DF, purification).
• Emerson DeltaV experience is essential.
• Proven experience with functional design and sequence of operations development.
• Strong understanding of how process intent translates into equipment and automation design.
• Experience within GMP biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with stainless steel systems and some single-use technologies.
