EHS Lead Opportunity (W2 Contract) – Biotech Manufacturing | Bedford, MA
A leading biotech organization is seeking a seasoned Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Lead for an initial 6-month W2 contract. This is a fully onsite role based in Bedford, MA, supporting a dynamic, regulated manufacturing environment. This position is critical to ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness during a period of active improvement and oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enforce and maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, MA DEP, and other relevant regulations.
- Lead site-wide EHS programs that promote a safe, healthy workplace for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Interface with internal project teams, cross-functional departments, and external regulatory bodies.
- Collaborate with facilities and maintenance teams to support reliability and uptime of critical systems and equipment.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven track record of direct responsibility for facilities and hands-on experience with equipment, including flammable or explosive materials.
- Demonstrated experience in cGMP-regulated facility design, construction, or maintenance, including support for capital improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of electrically classified environments, particularly Class 1 / Div 1 and Class 1 / Div 2 areas.
- Ability to take full ownership of EHS workstreams — from assessment to execution — with a high level of autonomy and confidence.
- Comfort responding to and managing ongoing OSHA-reportable matters in a regulated setting.
