We are seeking an experienced Asphalt Foreman / Motor Grader Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asphalt paving operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to operate grading equipment with precision and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily asphalt paving and grading operations.
- Operate motor grader and other heavy equipment for road construction and maintenance.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, grade stakes, and project plans.
- Coordinate with crew members, truck drivers, and project managers to maintain workflow.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance needs.
- Monitor quality control of asphalt placement and grading operations.
- Train and mentor crew members to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, time sheets, and job-related documentation.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in asphalt paving and grading operations.
- Proven experience operating a motor grader and managing paving crews.
- Valid and current driver’s license (must be eligible for employment).
- Solid professional references required.
- Strong understanding of project plans, grades, and specifications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment and meet project deadlines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Compensation:
