Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with fueling vehicles quickly and accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give accurate change while ensuring proper cash handling procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness of the station, including fueling areas, convenience store, and surrounding grounds.
- Stock shelves, merchandise products attractively, and ensure inventory levels are sufficient for customer needs.
- Assist customers with questions about products.
- Supervise store activities when needed, including overseeing other team members’ tasks and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems and cash handling procedures in retail or grocery store environments.
- Supervising experience is a plus; capable of guiding team members and managing daily operations effectively.
- Strong communication skills in both bilingual settings (if applicable) to serve diverse customer bases.
- Ability to perform retail math accurately for sales transactions, inventory counts, and stock management.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create appealing displays that attract customers.
- Basic math skills necessary for balancing registers and managing cash drawers efficiently.
