Our client, one of the largest and most competitive firms in the Geotechnical, Civil, and Environmental engineering sectors, is seeking a Materials Department Manager to join their dynamic team in Little Rock, AR.
Role Overview:
As a CMT Department Manager, you'll have the exciting opportunity to lead teams in construction materials testing and inspection. Your role will involve managing multiple projects simultaneously, guiding project managers, technicians and ensuring high-quality service. Flexibility with hours and a strong understanding of the construction lifecycle are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects related to construction materials testing and inspection.
- Lead and support a team of Engineers and Technicians.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively on construction sites, with external clients, and within internal meetings.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in civil engineering or a construction materials-related field.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical, or a related field, OR relevant certifications (e.g., ICC).
- Proven project management experience, focusing primarily on management over testing/inspection.
- Clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), Engineer in Training (EIT), or similar professional registration/certification relevant to the services and projects managed.
