Overview:
A client of I.K. Hofmann's is looking for someone to join our expanding 3PL team as a Carrier Representative. As a Broker your main responsibility is to generate revenue by managing freight through our carrier networks. This role also involves customer service, driver management, and performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate transportation with customers and operations
- Manage and communicate with drivers for timely deliveries
- Report issues to the Operations Manager
- Use software like DAT and McLeod for logistics management
- Book loads and update customers on freight status
- Negotiate rates and ensure regulatory compliance
Requirements and Skills:
- Associate's Degree required; Bachelor’s preferred
- 2 years' experience in the 3PL space
- 2 years of experience in sales
- Highly motivated and able to work under pressure
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bilingual skills and dispatch experience are a plus
