We are seeking an experienced, results-driven Maintenance Supervisor to lead all aspects of facility maintenance, groundskeeping, building systems, and environmental compliance across our site. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, highly organized, and a proven leader.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overseeing contract and vendor relationships, and onsite activities
- Ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Direct and oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, landscaping, outdoor upkeep, and special exterior projects
- Lead snow and ice removal operations ensuring safety and timely responses
- Develop and maintain long-term maintenance plans
- Manage and optimize large-scale building systems including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, video surveillance systems, and energy infrastructure
- Ensure the building system runs efficiently and in compliance with applicable codes and standards
- Assign daily tasks, conduct performance reviews, and ensure training compliance within your team
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
- Negotiate, manage, and monitor service contract for facility operations, janitorial services, landscaping, HVAC, waste removal, and special projects
- Maintain documents and oversee bidding and renewal processes
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations
- Oversee stormwater system inspections and reporting
- Assist with environmental audits and proactively address deficiencies
- Identify and lead energy-saving initiatives to reduce operating cost and environmental footprint
- Develop and manage department budgets, project forecasting, and cost-control strategies
- Manage annual elevator inspection and certification process Manage and maintain fire alarm panel systems and coordinate with emergency responders
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be Storm Water Certified or able to obtain certification within 1 year of hire
- HVAC Certified or able to obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Demonstrated success in contract negotiation and vendor oversight
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and local safety/environmental compliance requirements
- 7 years of progressive maintenance or facilities management experience
- 3 years’ experience in a management role
- Experience managing departmental budgets
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
OPTIONAL/PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Five (5) years in a manufacturing environment
- Strong project management experience including cross-function initiatives
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
