Human Resources Generalist - Recruiter

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Generalist / Recruiter is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop recruitment strategies, and ensure a positive candidate experience while maintaining compliance with company policies and employment laws.

In addition, this position supports a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, benefits administration, policy administration, performance management, training, workers' compensation, and regulatory compliance.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Perform full cycle recruitment for exempt and non-exempt positions from posting jobs, conducting candidate screening, interviewing, collecting feedback, performing background and reference checks, completing to extending offers.

·        Maintain applicant tracking systems (ATS) and recruitment records.

·        Coordinate employee onboarding, new hire orientation and offboarding activities.

·        Handles employment related inquiries from applicants, employees, and managers.

·        Complete a variety of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and periodic reports.

·        Manage Workers’ Compensation claims and billing with minimal supervision.

·        Support workplace accident investigations and corrective action plans.

·        Support employee relations by addressing workplace concerns and assisting with conflict resolution.

·        Assist managers with performance management, coaching, and corrective action processes.

·        Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits.

·        Assist in maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety programs.

·        Participate in HR projects, policy development, and process improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Human Resources

·        Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

PREFERRED SKILLS:

·        Previous HR experience in a manufacturing environment

·        Master’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

·        SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.

·        Knowledge of workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards and compliance requirements.

·        Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and compliance requirements.
