Position Summary
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Subaru and other vehicles according to manufacturer specifications and dealership standards. The ideal candidate is a strong team player who can work effectively with fellow technicians, service advisors, parts personnel, and management while maintaining a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose vehicle concerns using advanced diagnostic tools and testing equipment
- Perform maintenance, warranty, and repair services efficiently and accurately
- Complete repairs according to manufacturer and dealership procedures
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to service advisors and management
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and a customer-focused attitude
- Conduct road tests to verify repair quality and vehicle performance
- Participate in ongoing technical training and certification programs
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair automotive mechanical and electrical systems
- Prior dealership or automotive repair experience preferred
- Subaru certification preferred
- ASE Certification is a plus
- Factory training preferred but not required
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and safely operate shop equipment and tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred
