Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise classroom activities during the 2nd shift, ensuring a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all children.
• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies, promoting social-emotional development and cooperation among children.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design individualized learning plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, including assessments aligned with standardized testing standards and documentation of developmental milestones.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental needs through clear and compassionate updates.
• Ensure compliance with all childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and child welfare policies while fostering a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Skills

• Extensive experience with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, classroom management techniques, and curriculum development strategies.
• Proven ability to work with children requiring special education or early intervention support.
• Expertise in literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education activities tailored for young learners.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
• Experience with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is highly desirable.
• Ability to plan engaging lessons using tools such as standardized testing results and formative assessments to monitor progress.
• Familiarity with toddler care practices, behavior management techniques, and classroom experience in private school or daycare settings.
