The Role You’ll Play
In this essential role as a DSP, I Belong, Inc. is offering:

• Permanent Shifts Available: We are hiring one Direct Support Professional (DSP) to cover the following shift: Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Required availability: The ideal candidate is expected to commit to at least one of the above shifts, with preference given to those available for multiple or all listed shifts.
• Sub Shift Available: Open shifts become available weekly. If you're available to work additional hours, you can substitute for shifts as they become available.
• Opportunity for More Permanent Shifts: This role opens opportunities for more permanent positions as they become available.
• Skill Development: Expand your knowledge and expertise through paid training and hands-on experience with top Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in direct care.

We’re Looking For:

• Passionate Support: We are looking for DSP candidates who are deeply committed to supporting individuals with severe and profound IDD and bring genuine care and enthusiasm to their work.
• Shift Availability: We are hiring one Direct Support Professional (DSP) to cover the following permanent shift: Sunday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
• Required Availability: The ideal candidate is expected to commit to at least one of the above shifts, with preference given to those available for multiple or all listed shifts.
• Minimum Requirements: Candidates must be at least 19 years old, possess a valid Nebraska driver's license, have reliable transportation, and be willing to transport an individual in their vehicle.
• Preferred Experience: Experience with IDD is preferred, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional support and care.
• Compassion and Empathy: A genuine desire to help others and the ability to connect emotionally with individuals in their care.
• Patience: The ability to remain calm and supportive, especially in challenging situations.
• Strong Communication Skills: Clear and effective verbal and non-verbal communication is essential for interacting with individuals and team members.
• Adaptability: The flexibility to handle changing circumstances and individual needs.
• Dependability: Reliable, punctual, and consistent in providing care and support.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to assess situations and find practical solutions quickly.
• Physical Stamina: The ability to stay active with individuals, whether going for walks, participating in community outings, or engaging in games and activities.
• Professionalism: Maintaining appropriate boundaries and following ethical standards in all interactions.
• Willingness to Learn: Openness to ongoing training and personal development to enhance caregiving skills.

• Caregiving: 1 year (Required)
