What You'll Do:
As a Peer Mentor, you will connect with and mentor individuals with autism or co-occurring SED/SMI w/IDD (severe emotional disturbance, serious mental illness, intellectual and developmental disabilities) to assist them in reaching their boundless potential. In this role, you will assist individuals with their specific needs to find meaningful connections in their communities, discover new interests and skills, and develop functional competencies to be used in daily living.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- Actively engaging in education in Social Work, Psychology, Education, or related field at the collegiate level.
- Licensed through the State of Ohio as a SWT, RBT, CBT, CT, or BCaBA.
Licensure/Certification:
- Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child and infant (training will be provided if not already certified)
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License with Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles; proof of auto insurance. No more than 5 points on license.
