Medical Assistant/Scribe: Looking for a clinical assistant for a very busy dermatology practice in Syracuse. We provide medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatologic care. In this role you will work closely with the dermatology providers to document visits, and facilitate excellent patient care.
Qualifications:
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant Preferred
- Prior Scribe Experience Preferred
- Computer knowledge (as well as iPad)
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Able to demonstrate 45 words per minute typing skills
- Strong communication skills including grammar, spelling and verbal communication
- Detailed oriented with proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracy
- Excellent time management skills/independent worker
- Excellent listening and note taking skills
Responsibilities:
- Preparing patient rooms and rooming patients
- Accompanying provider during the patient visit
- Accurately scribing for providers during history taking, exams and procedures
- Assisting providers with answering and returning patient phone calls
- Perform tasks to improve provider efficiency
- Assist with all other clinical duties of the office
Experience:
- If you are not a certified medical assistant you will be required to complete Dermatology Technician Training (on the job) following 6 months experience
Wage is negotiable depending on experience.
