Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate art lessons for preschool through sixth grade aligned to the Iowa Fine Arts Standards

Provide instruction in a range of artistic media and techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking, and digital art

Create a positive, safe, and well-organized classroom environment that encourages creativity and artistic risk-taking

Collaborate with classroom teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and support literacy, math, and social-emotional learning goals

Organize and display student artwork throughout the school and community to celebrate creativity and learning

Maintain art supplies, tools, and inventory, ensuring responsible use and care of materials
